Police Service Commission Receives 897, 170 Applications

The Police Service Commission on Police recruitment has received 897, 170 applications as at 4:00pm on wednesday 11th of May, 2016 from applicants seeking for different positions in the Nigeria Police Force.

This is according to the information received from Mr. Ikechukwu Ani, Head, Press and Public Relations of the Police Service Commission in Abuja on Wednesday, May 11.

Here is the breakdown of the 897,170 applications
• Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Cadre: 259,046 applicants
• Inspector: 209,067 applicants
• Police Constable (PC): 429,059 applicants

The Commission further said, it would recruit 500 Cadet ASP, 500 Cadet Inspectors, 1,500 Specialist Officers and 7,500 Constables in the recruitment of 10,000 Policemen approved by President Muhammed Buhari to increase the efficiency of the Nigeria Police Force in an exercise that would end on Friday May 13th, 2016.
