12 Injured in Onitsha Explosion

The fuel explosion in Onitsha yesterday in which 12 People were severely burnt in Kara Market along Atani Road, Ogbaru close to Onitsha in Anambra State. As confirmed by the Public Police Relations Officer, DSP Ali Okechukwu in Ogbaru, he said the fire explosion was caused by fuel stored in jerrycan for later use. The Governor of Anambra state, His Excellency Willi Obiano has urged every member of the state to remain calm as the police are on top of the situation. DSP Ali reported 11 people to have sustained different levels injury. People are advised not to panic and to also discard the rumor that tagged the incident to be bomb explosion.
