    Iheanacho and Iwobi on target in the Uefa Champions League

    The Nigeria duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Alex Iwobi were on target for their respective clubs in yesterday's Uefa Champions League matches.

    Kelechi Iheanacho scored an equaliser for Manchester City against Celtic in the 8th minute of the encounter. Celtic have taken the lead in the first 4 minutes of the cracker through Patrick Roberts after a great move in the 18 yard box of Manchester City before an equaliser from Nigeria wonder kid, Kelechi Iheanacho through a wonderful through pass fro Nolito. It ended 1-1 at Manchester City Stadium. Manchester City now has 9 points and finished 2nd in group C behind Barcelona who top the group with 15 points.

    Another Nigerian that was also on target in the Uefa Champions League is Arsenal's Alexander Iwobi, he scored the 4th goal for Arsenal against Basel through an assist from Mesut Ozil to seal Arsenal's Tuesday night victory in the 53rd minute.

    Lucas Perez was the wonder of the night for Arsenal after scoring a hat-trick, he scored in 8th minute through an assist from Gibbs, in the 16th minute and also in the 47th minute through an assist from Alexis Sanchez.

    Basel was able to get a consolation goal through a powerful strike from Ivorian Seydou Doumbia in the 78th minute.

    Arsenal now top group A with 14 Points after 6 matches, ahead of PSG, Ludogorets and Basel who could only manage 12, 3, 2 points respectively. Arsenal and PSG are through to the second round of Uefa Champions League, 2015/2016 season.

    At the end of 90 minutes Basel 1-4 Arsenal.
