    FG declares Monday October 3rd as public holiday

    The Federal Government of Nigeria on Thursday declared Monday 3rd of October as public holiday to mark the Country's Independence anniversary.

    In a statement released by the Acting Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Mohammad Maccido on Thursday in Abuja, the Interior Minister, retired Lt-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau, restated the commitment of the Federal Government to fix the Country's  dangling economy challenges.

    The October Independence anniversary celebration will be done of Saturday being the 1st of October across Nigeria and all citizens will be expected to observe the public holiday as to also mark the Independence anniversary.
