Christian Female Students to Start Wearing Choir Robes to School

Osun State Christian Association of Nigeria (OSCAN) has ordered all Christian female Students in Osun State Primary and Secondary Schools to start wearing their Church robes such as Choir Robes, Usher Uniforms, Sultana Garments, Girls Guide Uniforms, Boys Bridge Uniforms among others. In Osun State, it has become a tradition that Muslim female Students in Osun State in both primary and secondary school now wears hijab on their their school uniform, with the backing of the State Government.

The Christians have realised that Muslim Female Students now wears hijab to School and messages have been sent to churches that starting from Monday, Christian female Students should start wearing their church ropes to School and churches are expected to comply with this directive.

On the other hand, a Judge of the State High Court in Osun, Justice Jide Falola had earlier passed a judgement last Friday in favour of the Muslim Community that gives the female Muslim Students to wear Hijab on their school uniform.

The director of DSS had earlier meet with Christians and Muslims separately to advocate for peace. Before now the Christians and Muslims in Osun State have been living together in peace and there is need to advocate for peace.

PDP in their statement said Governor Rauf Aregbesola should be hold responsible for this crisis.
