On the 1st day of July, 2016, two accidents occurred within two hours at Ile-Ile in Ketu Area of Lagos. At around 8:30am, an eighteen passengers bus hit its side on the ground, leaving several passengers injured.
According to an eye witness, the bus was trying to cross the BRT lane from the service lane to the express not minding a BRT bus that was coming on its lane, as the driver tries to escape the bus to avoid collision with the BRT bus, the eighteen passengers lost control off its lane and fall off its lane.
An ambulance service was rendered to the victims some minutes after incident, and there is no lost of life.
Few minutes later a LAG Bus coming from Ikorodu hit a woman standing close to the BRT lane preparing to cross the express as thought by some people, crushing one of her legs, leaving parts of her broken bone and blood on the road. The woman was gathered by sympathizers who struggles to a get vehicle that will convey her to the hospital. The situation was later controlled by a policeman and a LASTMA officer.
